Makevember (Make + November) is a yearly STEAM challenge, where creative and inspiring inventions are shared and showcased in schools all over the world as part of Engineering Literacy.
As part of our first project in Technology Class, we were asked to bring different materials (from bottle caps to used toilet rolls!) from home.
We placed these materials into our very own self-made ‘STEAMBOX’, which will be used for future activities.
Working in groups, we were assigned the task of choosing a card at random, each one with its own prompt for an invention. We immediately got to work by planning and designing our creations. Once this was approved by our teachers, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. The process, however, was not easy! Many things needed thinking, building, testing modifying and fixing before reaching our final designs. Teamwork, problem-solving and communication are just a handful of useful skills we improved during this very fun activity.
We hope you enjoy our magnificent and creative inventions!
